6. Apicoectomy

A surgical endodontic treatment, which removes the tip of the root through access created surgically in overlying gum and bone tissue. The procedure usually is needed when conventional endodontic treatment has been performed, but did not resolve the endodontic problem.

7. Bleaching

Using [peroxide-based] oxidizing agents to lighten the surface color of teeth.

8. Bonding

The application of composite resin material on an etched tooth surface to aesthetically restore or create the properly desired shape and color of a tooth.

9. Bracket

A small device bonded to the tooth that holds an arch wire for orthodontic treatment (braces).

10. Bridge

A fixed prosthetic device to replace missing teeth (pontic), which is supported by adjacent natural teeth (abutment).
