16. Cementum

The substance covering the root surface of a tooth.

17. Ceramic

Tooth colored restorative material used for dental inlays, veneers, crowns and bridges. It can consist of silicate glass, quartz, felspathic porcelain, infiltrated alumina or zirconia.

18. Composite

Tooth colored restorative material, a mixture of quartz and resin.

19. Coping

A thin-layer covering over a prepared tooth to support porcelain, usually made of metal. Modern materials include ceramic coping as Alumina or Zirconia.

20. Core

The central part, usually implying that the tooth structure requires reinforcement to properly function.
