21. Crown
Anatomic, the portion of tooth covered with enamel which stays above the gum.
22. Crown
Restoration, also called a cap; A full-coverage restoration usually used to restore a weakened tooth.
23. CT Scan
(in dentistry) Computerized tomography that produces a detailed cross section (sliced) of a person's jaw, showing a three dimensional image that can help determine the placement of dental implants (right size and location).
24. Curettage
Scraping or cleaning of the tooth or root surface; root planning or removing diseased gum tissue.
25. Dental Implant
A titanium artificial root, surgically embedded in the jaw bone to replace a missing tooth that can be restored and attached with a crown, bridge or denture.
